About the show:
In conjunction with Fitzroy Stretches
Fitzroy Stretches has built upon its reputation for providing quality service and producing stable stretcher frames, and now stocks an ever-expanding range of paint and drawing materials that are high-quality, but affordable.They now also provide a large range of framing and mounting services
Since its beginnings, Fitzroy Stretches has grown to become a place that artists across Australia call upon to help them realise their ideas.
Total Prize Pool: $8,750
Major Prize: The Winner receives prizes totalling $5,500, which include $2,500 worth of photographic printing from New North Fine Art Photographic Printing; $1,000 worth of framing from Fitzroy Stretches; and an exhibition package valued at $2,000 for a solo exhibition at the New North Gallery in 2010, which includes gallery rental, full curatorial support, exhibition marketing, publicity, and opening night expenses.
Student Prize: The Winner receives prizes totalling $2,000, which include photographic printing, framing, and an exhibition at the Gallery 2, New North Gallery, including gallery rental, full curatorial support, exhibition marketing, publicity, and opening night expenses.
Portraiture Prize: The Winner receives prizes totalling $500, which include a $250 Encouragement Award for Portraiture from BvR Arts Management, and $250 dollars worth of photographic printing services from New North Fine Art Photographic Printing.
People's Choice Award: The winner receives $750 worth of printing services.
